Porter's Five Forces Analysis
Porter's Five Forces is a strategic framework that helps organizations understand the competitive intensity and, therefore, the attractiveness of an industry. Devised by Michael E. Porter, it identifies and analyzes five competitive forces that shape every industry and helps determine an industry's weaknesses and strengths. The five forces are: the threat of new entrants, the bargaining power of buyers, the bargaining power of suppliers, the threat of substitute products or services, and the existing industry rivalry.
